Check-In / Check-Out

What time am I able to check-in? You can check-in anytime after 2 pm (14h00).

What time should I check-out by? You should check-out anytime before 12 pm (12h00).

My flight arrives late in the evening; will it be possible to check-in late? Our hotel has a staff on duty 24 hours a day, therefore late arrival and check-in is absolutely fine.

My flight arrives early in the morning; will it be possible to check-in early? Please be advised our standard check in time is anytime after 2 pm (14h00). To guarantee an early check-in, it is necessary to book the previous night. If rooms are available prior to check-in time, an early check-in may be possible. You are welcome to leave your luggage free of charge in our luggage store prior to your check-in.

My flight leaves late in the day; will it be possible to check-out late? Should you wish to retain your room after 12 pm (12h00), please arrange with reception at the hotel. All rooms subject to availability. The following charges may apply: 50% of the price of the room before 6 pm (18h00); the full price of the room after 6 pm (18h00).

Services & Amenities

Is wireless internet available at the hotel? Wireless internet is available at the hotel, free of charge.

Is breakfast included in the price? A farm breakfast, with artisanal bread from Alentejo, local delicacies, and organic ingredients, is included in the price of any room or cottage, if served in the restaurant. Breakfast is served between 7:30 am (07h30) and 11 am (11h00). If you have any dietary restriction please let us know. 

Is room service available? Room service is available for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. However, if you really want to experience a true stay at the farm, we advise you to step outside your room and breath in the clear country air. A farm to table experience is waiting for you in our restaurant and a taste of our wines in our filled with character bar.

Is a laundry service available? Laundry and dry-cleaning requests can be arranged with the concierge at the hotel reception.

Is a shuttle service available? It is possible to book a shuttle service that will drive you from and to Lisbon Airport or Évora train station, at an extra fee.

Is the hotel pet friendly? We love all animals. After all, we are a working farm. However, in order to provide all our guests a soothing environment, we only allow small pets (to a maximum of 15 kg) in the hotel rooms or cottages, at an extra fee. If you wish to bring your four-legged friend, please contact us for further details.

Can I request a bouquet of flowers if I wish to surprise someone? Our concierge, at the hotel reception, is ready to help you in any way possible. So, if you wish to request a bouquet of flowers, a bottle of champagne or book a picnic in order to surprise someone, he is there to help you make that happen.

Can I use the spa and studio free of charge? The dry saunas and relaxation room are all at your disposal, free of charge. You can also use the studio, except when group classes are taking place. Signature treatments by Susanne Kaufmann and fitness lessons are available at an extra cost and request an appointment.

Is there a kids play area and activities? Our hotel is family-friendly, so we welcome all our guests, including the little ones. A play room, that is located at the heart of the monte, is waiting for them with lots of books to learn from and toys to play with. It is also possible to book extra activities, designed specifically for them, at an extra fee.

Cancellations

What is your full cancellation policy? You can cancel or amend your reservation, free of charge, up to 7 days before 12:00 pm on the first day of your stay if you opt for one of our Rooms or Suites, or up to 14 days before 12:00 pm on the first day of your stay if you choose to book one of our Cottages. If you cancel your reservation any later than that, the total amount of your intended stay will be charged. In case of no show or early departure, the stay will be charged in full. Any cancellation should be requested using the email reservations@barrocal.pt. This cancellation policy may undergo changes in special programmes/ packages, which will have their own conditions.
